I know I can be pretty cheesy, one of the reasons I like Warmaster is because I've won almost every game I've played. Its not the only reason I like the game, but its one of the reasons. You all know the problems I have/had with Warmachine. So is it cheesy of me to say that I like that game now, after coming so close to winning a game? Against CB no less. I was already aware of the "bump, set, spike!" style of play, but last week was the first time it clicked and paid off. Obliterator, Rust grenade, Shredder!

For sure it's all about using the army with each other. The compounding effects far exceed any individual models on the table. Try playing Protectorate of Menoth, it'll make your brain hurt. It seems, at least to me, that they have more and are more dependent on the stackable powers. CB has a good eye for strategy, and he knows his army well. I've only won him a few times.
And I agree, when a series of things flow together well, that's the fun right there.
Playing against Menoth makes my brain hurt, I can only imagine...
Ha ha! You've been converted! Now if only I could find someone to play with here in Oaktown. Those guys Dave and Cy met every week alone on Wednesdays, but Dave just moved out of state. I need to find someone to practice against cause I wants to do the Kublacon tourney this year.
There's nothing like being fully painted with no one to play. :(
Ya, that was rad man. The Rust, knock down, shredder combo is killer! The game is really tactical because of the combos and timing, which I like even if it does make my brain hurt.
