RPGeeking...

Hey guys, after Kublacon and the rush up to Quake City Rumble, I've been thinking about some role playing. I have two things in mind and would run something for the OP 4 if there's some interest.

#1. Iron Kingdoms/Warmachine Roleplaying

I have my hands on the Witchfire Campaign and that could be some fun.

#2. Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay

Oh ya, adventuring in the old world! Dark and gritty, think Mordheim with more detail and working together against the lurking evil and corruption! Plus you can start out in exciting careers such as ratcatcher, slave, baker, camp follower, etc....

Anyway, I'd be thinking of maybe 1 or 2 nights a month if you guys are interested.

Owlbears are real and very freaky.

According to Wikipedia, they "live in mated pairs." Is that the same as mating for life? Should I feel bad for breaking up the pair from Kublacon? Are they going to take their frustrations out on the poor mushmen?

Until I get some answers, I'm going to paint the one I've got like our cat (who looks like an owl and a bear) and name it "Tony."

D -3

The time is nearly at hand. There are dark portents in the sky and nerds gather to the south. Redemption shall be yours if you confess your sins by listing what you are bringing to KublaCon. This will give us a better idea of the games/rules/terrain/miniatures to bring. Post your litanies in the comments below.

So what's it like being a pirate?

Captain Jack Sparrows answers that question...

Listen up, me hearties!

A fine game of Pirates was played last night. The Yankees and the Spaniards build a stout ship. Both games came down to how long the big ships could last. The quick saw and steady hand of the pirate shipwright won the day for the scurvy dogs.

I stand within the Pleasure Dome...

We are running "An Evening with Op-For" at KublaCon this year. It will be sort of a structured pick up game environment, where players can play games they love, games they haven't played in a while or perhaps play a game they have never played before. So if you want to play Necromunda, Mordheim, Warhammer, 40k, Warmachine, Hordes, Warmaster, Bloodbowl, Gorkamorka, Lord of the Rings SBG or Battlefleet Gothic this will be the place to do it.
We want to keep it flexible so there won't be any fixed army sizes, it will be up to the players to decide. However, players are encouraged to play multiple games, so 1000pts for 40k, Warhammer or 20-30pts for Warmachine etc.
There will be lots of the fun stuff you've come to expect from Op-For, like killer terrain, special scenarios and cool prizes.
Let us know if there are any other games or variants you'd like to play. Killteam or Warhammer Skirmish for example. Leave your comments below.

Under the wire again!

I submitted an event proposal to KublaCon. Its on the first page if you click the miniatures link.

Titled "An Evening with Op-For" it should be a cool alternative to the tournament style of games play. I'll post some more info soon.
